WHO HOLDS THE WORK
The Founder - Minal Dalal
Author · Mentor for Human Becoming · Architect of the Human Evolution Arc
Born into a Jain family in Mumbai. A homemaker, a mother, and a writer in Gujarati who held one question for decades — and built a life’s work out of the answer. She holds Adhyaant, and walks The Master Shift personally with each person who comes to it.
Essence, Not Identity
Before there was a framework, there was a life.
I am not a scholar who arrived at this work through study. I arrived at it the way most people arrive at anything true – through living, through what life asked of me, and through what I did with the silence in between.
I grew up in Mumbai, in a middle-class Jain family. I studied in a Gujarati-medium school, and Gujarati is still the language I think in and write my books in. I went on to Sydenham College and graduated in Commerce – a practical education for a practical life.
I married into a conservative Jain family. My husband was a Chartered Accountant, and for many years my life was the life of a homemaker and the mother of a daughter. Nobody calls that a training ground. But it was where I first learned what it means to hold another human being while they grow.
Then, one day, I was sitting with a scripture in my hands, and a question opened that has never closed since.
How can the work of one human being still be shaping lives five thousand years later - and still counting?
What did those people know about cultivating a human being that we have forgotten? Who, today, is cultivating the human being at all? I began to read differently, to write, to sit in silence with that question. Slowly, what I was living became something I could name — and what I could name became something others could walk.
In 2012 it became my first book, Hriday Vistaar. After it, young people began coming to me, and I began mentoring them. In 2018 came Bhavyatanu Nirman, where I imagined a modern lineage of human becoming — an education system built to grow a person, not just to inform one.
Life then asked something larger of our family. My husband renounced worldly life and took initiation as a Jain monk. I was left to hold a home, and a daughter of eighteen standing at the start of her own life. Together, she and I founded Amysh & Co., a small product company, so that she would have ground to stand on and a purpose to grow into. It taught me that the work of becoming is not only done in silence. It is done in kitchens, in businesses, in the middle of change.
In 2025, everything I had lived and written came together under one name: Adhyaant – Aadi and Ant, the beginning and the end. The whole arc of a human life, and of human evolution, held as one.
I did not inherit a lineage. I have spent my life trying to remember one.

The Question
Who is cultivating the human being?
I did not set out to build a framework. I set out to answer one question that would not leave me alone.
We train people for professions, exams, markets and roles. We rarely train them for life. Somewhere along the way, the old art of growing a whole, mature human being went quiet.
My work is to bring it back – in a form a modern adult life can actually walk.
Three Ways I Hold This Work
Mentor. Architect. Author.
01. The Master Shift
Mentor for Human Becoming
We are born human. Becoming humanis the work of a lifetime.
The Master Shift is a daily discipline for the deliberate cultivation of whole human beings. It works on two layers. At its root are three capacities that drive everything else – and they have to stay alive at every step:
Choice
Preparedness
Presence
From there, the work turns in four directions — the self, the purpose, the other and the world:
Inner Evolution
who you are becoming
Relational Intelligence
how you are with others
Vision Expansion
what your life is for
Creative Contribution
what you give to the world
I walk this with people personally – one to one, and in circles.
02. Adhyaant
Architect of the Human Evolution Arc
The whole arc of human evolution, at three scales.
The Master Shift is the first layer of a larger arc. Adhyaant is the whole of it: a restoration of the ancient art of nurturing whole, mature human beings.
THE INDIVIDUAL
The Master Shift
to cultivate becoming
THE CULTURAL
School of Human Becoming & School of Cultural Becoming
to unfold belonging
THE CIVILISATIONAL
Seeding
to carry contribution
A person cannot become whole alone, and a culture cannot mature without whole people in it. Adhyaant holds both.
03. Books

A third Gujarati book, Chetan Vistaar, is being written.
How I work
An elder who has walked the ground. I
I do not work as a coach, a therapist, or a guide who hands over answers. I work the way the old lineages did: an elder who has walked the ground walks beside you while you walk it yourself.
The temple. The gurukul. The monastery. The khanqah.
Different vocabularies, one art.
I will not make your life easier.
I will not make you more productive.
I will not promise you an outcome.
The problems stay the same size.
You get larger.
IN Her Words
I stayed in the world. So I had to find out whether a human being could be cultivated right here - in a home, in a business, in an ordinary day.
— MINAL
What I Am Working towards
When one human awakens, humanity begins to evolve.
I hold a picture of a civilisation that measures its greatness by coherence rather than success – where people, the institutions they build, and the systems they live inside mature together.
It begins, always, with one person. The rest is trusted to time.
For Institutions & Organisations
Bringing the work into rooms that shape people.
I speak and mentor with schools, educational institutions, organisations and communities – wherever people are being formed, led or gathered, and someone wants that to be done with more depth.
